Founded in 1902, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago’s mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Serving nearly 20,000 youth ages five to 18, Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago works to provide members with the emotional, educational, physical, and cultural resources that allow them to enjoy their childhood and thrive in adulthood. At our Clubs, they find caring mentors, avenues of opportunity and the tools they need to prepare for great futures.

After School Matters® is a non-profit organization that provides life-changing after-school and summer program opportunities to 20,000 Chicago high school teens each year.

Teens are at the core of everything After School Matters does. They are the reason we exist – from the more than 350,000 we have reached since our beginnings, to the many more we must reach in the future.

Our Vision

After School Matters provides teens with opportunities to discover their potential and find their future.

Our Mission

To provide Chicago public high school teens opportunities to explore and develop their talents, while gaining critical skills for work, college and beyond.
