IMPORTANT PLEASE READ - Shifting To Remote Learning January 5th

IHSCA Family,

Please note that as of January 5th we will be shifting to remote learning. In working on addressing COVID in our environment, we have been working with CPS and IDPH on possible remedies. Our current situation allows us to shift to a remote situation for a temporary period.

Remote Asynchronous Learning January 5th - January 7th

For these 3 days of asynchronous learning students are expected to use the school day to work on homework and assignments. Students should take the time to email teachers for work or if they need any help.

Remote Learning Begins January 10th - January 21st

Starting on Monday January 10th, students must be ready to log into their google classrooms online following their regular school schedule for the day. Teachers will be taking attendance of students that are absent or present. Students should be ready to engage and receive live instruction from the teacher through their google classrooms. Parents will be called if the student is not logging into their classes online.

Technology Needs

All students should have their Chromebook that was provided to them by the school. If there are any technology needs in order for the student to successfully participate during remote instruction please email Mr. Elkhailani at [email protected]

Return To School In-Person on January 24th

Students will return to school and in-person instruction on Monday January 24th. We ask all returning students to test for COVID-19 and to return to school on the 24th if the result is negative. Please note that the week of January 24th is Finals Testing.

Other Notes

Please take note that CPS may inform our school that we need to return to school and in-person instruction earlier. If CPS instructs us to return to school at an earlier date we will communicate this to our staff, students, and families. We may also be asked by CPS to add more instructional days toward the end of the year.

The safety and health of our students and staff are critical. If you need any support during this transition please make sure you communicate with our school.
