Del 20 al 23 de julio, IHSCA tuvo el placer de dar la bienvenida a nuestros estudiantes de nuevo ingreso de la Clase del 2030, quienes tienen interés en el campo de la salud y forman parte de la primera generación de nuestro Programa de Ciencias de la Salud (Allied Health Pathway).

Durante la semana, los estudiantes recibieron una introducción a las diferentes profesiones del área de la salud, exploraron los sistemas del cuerpo humano y conocieron las oportunidades que les esperan durante los próximos cuatro años.

Estamos muy emocionados de acompañar a esta generación en su camino para convertirse en los futuros profesionales de la salud. Nuestro Programa de Ciencias de la Salud es uno de los pocos programas integrales de este tipo en las escuelas secundarias de la Ciudad de Chicago, ofreciendo a los estudiantes experiencias tempranas en el campo de la salud, cursos con crédito universitario, certificaciones de la industria y oportunidades que los preparan para la universidad, una carrera profesional y mucho más.

From July 20–23, IHSCA was excited to welcome our incoming Class of 2030 students who are interested in healthcare and are participating in the inaugural cohort of our Allied Health Pathway.

Throughout the week, students were introduced to a variety of healthcare careers, explored the human body and its organ systems, and gained an early look at the exciting opportunities that await them over the next four years.

We are incredibly excited to watch this cohort grow into the next generation of healthcare professionals. Our Allied Health Pathway is one of the few comprehensive high school programs of its kind in the City of Chicago, providing students with early exposure to healthcare careers, dual credit opportunities, industry certifications, and experiences that prepare them for college, careers, and beyond.

Congratulations to the Class of 2030 on taking the first step in this incredible journey. The future of healthcare starts here!

Qué emocionante inicio de otra semana de programación de verano en IHSCA para nuestros estudiantes de nuevo ingreso al 9.º grado!

La semana pasada concluimos nuestro Instituto de Liderazgo para Estudiantes de 9.º Grado con una divertida excursión a un escape room. Allí, nuestros estudiantes trabajaron en equipo para resolver diferentes desafíos, fortaleciendo sus habilidades de comunicación, colaboración, pensamiento crítico y resolución de problemas. ¡Fue la manera perfecta de cerrar una semana dedicada al desarrollo de nuestros futuros líderes!

Esta semana damos inicio a nuestro Campamento de Deportes y Salud para estudiantes de 9.º grado. Durante toda la semana, los estudiantes aprenderán sobre la importancia de mantener hábitos saludables, cuidar su bienestar físico y mental, y participarán en diversas actividades deportivas y recreativas que fomentan el trabajo en equipo, la confianza y un estilo de vida activo.

¡Estamos muy emocionados por acompañar a nuestros estudiantes de nuevo ingreso al 9.º grado mientras desarrollan hábitos saludables, una mentalidad positiva y nuevas amistades antes de comenzar el año escolar!

What an exciting start to another week of summer programming at IHSCA!

Last week, we wrapped up our Freshman Leadership Institute with an exciting field trip to an escape room. Students worked together to solve challenges that required teamwork, communication, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving. It was the perfect way to celebrate a week dedicated to developing our future leaders!

This week, we're excited to launch our Sports & Health Camp! Throughout the week, freshman students will explore healthy habits, learn strategies to support their physical and mental well-being, and participate in a variety of fun physical activities designed to promote teamwork, confidence, and an active lifestyle.

We're looking forward to an energetic week as we help our incoming freshmen build healthy habits, positive mindsets, and lasting friendships before the school year begins!
