Girls Flag Football: Breaking Barriers and Building Futures We're thrilled to introduce Girls Flag Football as a new addition to our sports program. This initiative aims to promote inclusivity and break gender stereotypes in sports. We are proud of our girls for embracing this opportunity and contributing to the diversification of our athletic community. We eagerly anticipate the growth of this program in the years to come.

Boys Soccer: Showcasing Talent A special mention to Arturo Morales for his selection to the Illinois 2023 BODYARMOR Series College Showcase. This prestigious event serves as a platform for top soccer talents in Illinois, attracting college coaches from around the nation. Arturo's participation exemplifies the potential within our sports program to nurture and propel aspiring athletes toward successful collegiate careers.

Record Student Participation: Setting the Bar High This year, an impressive 70 students actively participated in fall sports, including girls' volleyball, boys' soccer, cheer, and girls flag football. We are excited about the engagement which underscores the success of our sports programs and the high-quality instruction provided. Let's maintain our commitment to consistency, ensuring that every student receives a comprehensive and lifelong learning experience through sports.

School Excellence: Balancing Sports and Studies In the realm of academics, our student-athletes continue to shine. With a remarkable average attendance percentage of 92.72%, surpassing the overall school rate, and only 16% of our student-athletes having a D or less.

Community Impact: Walking for a Healthy Cause Beyond the field, our community involvement remains strong. Over 80 of our students, a majority being athletes, participated in a 3-mile community walk with our partner, The Blue Door Neighborhood Center. This initiative aimed to raise awareness about heart disease, the leading cause of death in the United States. Let's continue inspiring our students to lead healthy lives and serve as beacons of wellness in our community.
