Cap and Gown Pickup and Guest Tickets:
- Date: Thursday, May 23rd
- Location: Cafeteria, immediately after school
- Each senior can receive up to 7 guest tickets; seniors do not need a ticket.
- Additional tickets may be requested if available.
- Every guest must present a ticket at the graduation ceremony.
Senior Awards Ceremony and Graduation Practice (ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY):
- Date: Wednesday, June 12th, starts at 12:30pm followed by graduation practice until approximately 5:00pm.
Graduation Ceremony:
- Date: Saturday, June 15th
- Location: Rauner YMCA outdoor field, ceremony starts at 5:00pm; guests can arrive from 4:00pm onwards.
- Back-up Date: In case of inclement weather, graduation will be held on June 16th. Please save both dates
Day of Graduation:
- Seniors must be dropped off at IHSCA by 3:00pm, must arrive wearing their cap and gown.
- A light lunch and refreshments will be provided.
Graduation Attire:
- Wear comfortable shoes; high heels are not recommended.
- Caps can be decorated but must adhere to the Student Code of Conduct.
- Decorations must lay flat and not make noise; no 3D objects allowed.
Parking:
- Limited parking available at the Rauner YMCA; permission to park on Western Ave will be arranged with the Chicago Police Department.
Photos and Balloons Policy:
- Families are asked to remain seated during the ceremony.
- Professional photographer will be present; photos will be available for free download later.
- Balloons must remain in the car until after the ceremony.
Diplomas:
- Pickup at IHSCA between June 24th and June 28th.
- Ensure all fees are paid, laptops and library books are returned, and sports jerseys are turned in if student participated in a school sport.
